Any Trad only shops in Alabama?
«

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone knew of any trad only shops in Alabama? There is a nice archery shop in my hometown of Prattville, but it has everything, Crossbows, Compounds, custom guns, and a trad section. But I was wondering if there was a Trad only shop in Alabama? Or in Miss or Ga? Anyone know?
Thanks,

I dont know of any but you can contact Terry Green. I bet he'd know. Troy Breeding used to live in Bama but I heard he moved to Missouri a few years back.

Troy moved and set up a "regular" archery shop when his wife's job changed.
I don't know of any "all trad" shops in the Southeast. My little shop is "all trad", located in NE Mississippi, but my shop is more a workplace than a store. My friends come over and pilfer through my stuff, but I don't even try to keep a big inventory--mainly feathers, nocks, strings, etc. Easier, and in the long run cheaper, to order stuff as needed from my suppliers.

Copperhead bows in Brandon MS. Terry Thornton owns it. He builds and sells the Copperhead bows and sells all the other stuff out of the shop also. He has a 3D range elevated at about 18 feet where we shoot an informal league on Thursday evenings. I don't think he would mind me putting his cell out 601-331-6393. A very good guy!

They are a rare beed. Most shops feel the money and main interest is in Compounds and now Crossbows. 3 Rivers and Kustom King are your own Archery shop if you choose. The other outlets are Trad only 3-d shoots and right here in the classified section of this site. What would be your reason for a wanting a local shop? Just curious? If someone could see lots of reasons maybe they would open one. It would be nice to see more!!

I have never been in a Trad only shop, and thought it would be neat to go to one and hang out and talk shop with likeminded people.
The archery shop here in Prattville has a pretty nice trad section too, as does Bass Pro Shop. Academy Sports opened recently but i am unsure of what they have in there. I am going to have to check them out soon.

Harrelson Traditional Archery in Fitzpatrick, Al. Lynn is primarily a bowyer, but he does have a small shop. He is also the guy to go to for wood arrows. He is also a sponser here. Bill

Thanks y'all,
Hey Bill, Lynn Harrelson used to be my warden where I work and I used to get stuff, arrows, etc, from him when his shop was at his Warden's house. He moved and I lost touch with him. I will have to look him up now. Thanks,
