I've always used B-50. Have a couple bows know that are fast flight compatible. What is the difference between the different materials. Like 450, D97 & Ts+ Want to try some but don't know enough about the differences to make any kind of decision. Thanks for any help.

I like D97,it's a good solid bowstring material and strong.D97 is the cost less then most other modern string materials if you are making your own strings.A 12 strand D97 is strong enough for upto a 100# bow.I have been using 8 strand D97 for my bows 58#@28 and under with great results.I do have some 450+,it is a good string and strong too and has no creep.I make my 450+ with 6 strands, but 450+ is more costly then D97.I like D97 as a good all around string material for FF compatable bows.

I like Dynaflight '97 and Formula 8125.  They are similar materials, but 8125 is a smaller diameter and has less stretch/creep than Dynaflight.  It costs more, but you get more feet per spool vs. Dynaflight.

I have a spool of TS Plus, but haven't tinkered with it any.  I've heard it's generally a very quiet material, but has a lot of initial stretch/creep.

I have 450+, and use it some, but it's the one I recommend the least.  It's strong, and has very little stretch/creep, but I've heard too many reports (not random--from people I know and trust) of tiny 450+ strings breaking with no warning.  Haven't heard of that happening with any other material, at least none that are still on the market.

IMO, you won't be dissapointed with either Dynaflight '97 or Formula 8125.

I have a couple of strings made from D97 and they work great, but most of my bows are Dacron only, so I don't have any experience of one low-stretch material vs. another.

8125 for me! I've only used D97 and 8125 but like the 8125 better. I've found it to be more solid (less vibration) on the shot and crept less than the D97. Both however made my bows nicer to shoot!

I think you can buy a small roll of D97 from the Nocking Point on the sponsor list.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

D97 works great for me. I haven't tried the others because I haven't felt any need to change what isn't broken.    ;)
