Hello all,
Anyone have any experience with those "Ace Classic
Medieval Points" offered in 3 Rivers site? Not long ago I had a guy make me a dozen arrows, six of which are with those points. Man, they are neat as heck and those are beautiful arrows!  I haven't got a chance to shoot or hunt with them yet, but I was wondering what y'all think about them, how they shoot, good for small game, or what?

Also, that "Socketed Medieval Broadhead" looks neat too. But it says on the caption "Not for hunting!". Why couldn't you use if for hunting? Iam not talking about the very narrow very pointed ones for piercing armor they offer, but the one that looks like a true double bladed broadhead. Anyway, seems like you could sharpen the edges and it would be similar to a Delta or something? Just curious.
Thanks,

They are a cool looking FIELD point (the ACE), I've put some on some arrows I've made for folks, but haven't shot them my self. Just as any other field point, I wouldn't use them on game.

Yep, I would never use them on big game llike deer, but I would on say a rabbit or armadillo.

I wouldn't. Even on small game. Learned that the hard way early on. A field point doesn't impart any blunt force trauma, and unless you get a complete pass through, the shaft will seal the wound preventing rapid blood loss. Doesn't make for a quick clean kill.
Trust me.

That makes sense and I will keep that in mind. I will have to get me some more small game points. As soon as my danged broke toe gets better I want to take my bow out and hunt some rabbit or something.
