Okay you all. I have blamed this all on you. I came home today and just walked right in with this like I owned the place. When I told her what a great deal I got, she still was not happy. Then I showed her all the customs on here and she said, "Well you can keep that one, but if you ever come home with one of those custom ones make sure you have a case to pack it in".
Just kidding, she loves it.(One step at a time, right?) It is not a high dollar custom, but I'm on a budget and have been eyeing this up for near 3 months. I'm tickled with it. It is a '74/'75 Bear Super Kodiak 60", 41#@28". I have to put a few refining touches on it, but I'll be the one sporting it at Denton Hill.
Sorry about the picture quality.

Congrats. Looks like a keeper to me.
By the way, some of you guys have got this wife thing all wrong. It took me awhile to figure it out but I will share my secret. GET HER INVOLVED.Once she is interested rarely are new toys a problem. Oh yeah. It can get more expensive as she needs new stuff too. My wifes bow hangs right next to mine. She'll be in the turkey blind with me Saturday morning.
Hey, enjoy your bow. It's a beauty.

The Super Kodiak-to me, one of the best looking bows Bear ever produced. Based on the color of the riser and stripe in yours I would say it is a '73 or '74 model--in '75 they changed the futerwood color to midnight(black/gray) and changed the stripe to blue. I have had several customs but the SK is still tops for me, enjoy it!
