Iowa Trad Gang bunnie hunt 2010 update
«

Was sitting here, thinking about a few years ago when a few of us got together for a bunnie hunt. Was a great time. Lefty and Doug77 had mention about coming down here to bunnie hunt. I have some spots located and will be scouting them out in a few days. The January still has a gun season in it and some fellows will be hunting hogs so how about the first of Feb. Anybody have any ideas and date ideas? The area i have in mind is around Lake Sugema or a ways from it. Located in Van Buren county by Keosauqa iowa.

Coyotes and Cougars get hunted hard around here. The Redtail Hawks and Bobcats probably eat well though. This invite ain't just for Iowa Trad'ers How about some of you from across the borders?

Boy, I will try. That is a long way, but I might just be able to work it out. That would be a good time with some good people!

Any week but the middle one. I am off to the TX Sweat Feb 14-20. It will be great to see you again Vic! Should be enough time to make some bunnie arrows - the kind a fellow can feel good about letting loose in deep snow. Nothing like a brisk day in February and a walk in the brush.

I'm in! Maybe I can get the hubby to dust of his Kota and come along! My jury duty ends with Jan. so Feb. is great for me!

You know I am in Mr Vic! I hunted the Suegma area last year and shot a couple bunnies, but don't know what the population looks like this year. There are a couple new brush lines to the west of where we hunted before.
I have heard of some bunnies over around Lake Rathbun, but personally I have only fished over there, never stomp the brush. Maybe someone else has hunted the area.
I will be hunting with 7th Age Jan. 18-24th, but other than that I am open.

Anyone tried out the bunny arrow idea in last months Trad Bowhunter?
I need to head upstairs and take inventory on my small game arrows. I know I lost a lot already this year!
Yes Jason, you 2 boys should come and bring us all some bows to try out

Greywolf and i just got back from scouting out the south side of Lake sugema in Van buren county. Hardly any sign of countless bunnies. Did find some nice brushy areas west of where we hunted last time with some sign. Very sad Public hunting area. There is hundreds of acres and most of it is fields full of open weed fields. Going to check some more area out after the weekend of doe hunters stomping it.
