Bryce--You are supposed to go to Montana in SEPTEMBER!   :D

I'm looking forward to chasing turkey in hopefully 5 states this spring and have a 2 week trip to POW to stalk the salmon streams for black bears and the alpine for sitka in the fall.

Whip, Skyler and anyone else planning on going to the PBS gathering in Nashville, please be aware it's the end of March and not in April as you have listed above. Wouldn't want anyone to miss it. Happy New Year to all. BW

A U S T R A L I A

This will be my third trip. I don't know exactly where yet, but am working on it.

My first two trips were three weeks each, but were specifically for red stag, chittal, and Mellville Island buffalo (serious action there!).

Unfortunately, neither of the hunts coincided with good pig hunting, and next to big bull elk, hunting big pigs are my favorite thing to hunt with a bow.

This time, I am going specifically in pursuit of BIG BOAR. Me and my 75-pound Wesley Special (the same one I killed the two buff with) are hoping to get eye-to-eye with some big toothy boars, and if I can work it out, maybe some goats or something else fun to hunt.

I have a friend down under trying to help me to figure out where to hunt. The main thing is that it will be almost three full weeks with boots on the ground and arrows on the shelf in wild Australia. I can't get enough of that place!

To heck with fenced-in Africa, four star lodges, and fancy cooks------a small tent, a tarp, and a billy can are all a guy needs for a great hunt Down Under!

Oh---and croc repellant. Gotta have croc repellant.  Anybody invented that yet?

I knew that Barry, I was just testing ya'
Got it fixed now.  Actually, I'm extending my trip into April by pulling the camp trailer along with us and heading somewhere warm when the convention is over...    Don't really know where yet, but who knows, maybe some turkeys or hogs will need hunting somewhere.

I plan on actually going hunting considering it seems like almost every weekend this year has been spent doing other things. I have barely spent any time in the woods and if you compared it to previous years it would be none. Good luck to you all.

Going to South America for 2 months in Jan, staying with my inlaws (who are farm owners). Can't wait to see what I can connect to with my bow.
Hunting was hazardous, but at least it guaranteed the freedom of the individual.

There is no doubt that the onset of farming saw the end of leasure for the majority of people, who were destined to toil in the fields.
