lbows, welcome to a great experience. About 3 years ago I purchased a pair of poly glove liners. When shooting during the cold weather in Nebraska, I wear them on both hands. I also wear  wool mittens that will pull back and leave a half glove on my string hand, being I use a glove instead of tab. My hands don't get cold enough to worry about and I can still perform to the best of my ability!!!!
I've got ears that could be used for sails when the wind is a blowin, so I also wear wool on my head. I don't like cold hands or cold feet.

Cane and Magnolia tend to make good arrow.
Hike naked in the backwoods.
