5'11" and 235# and the large works well. I ordered an XL in the drab olive vest to go over the large pullover.

I'll order some more when they have the brown pattern available. I really love that stuff!

I think the brown is just that brown - no pattern - there is a link upper left of every page you are viewing on here - just click it

Xmas present finally from the M Inlaw.

After years of asking for "Trad Gear" which is all I ever really need.  I got ahead of the game, and asked for a pull over hooded shirt from Theresa.  I'm 5-11 and 307lbs.  I ordered a XXXL, in the Green Buffalos Plaid??? And it fits superb, large enough to add some layers, but the sleeve still tapered for shooting.  I was not aware of different weights of wool, this feels a little lite, however, the service, and fit for me, are more than I can ask for.  Looks like I'll be ordering a vest to layer under neath...

Great Product...

I talked to Mrs. Asbell the evening after my post and she informed me that the XL I had received was sized wrong(she had some help at the time mine was made)so I've got a new one on the way, and that the XL should fit me fine.

So I have ordered the vest with hood in the timber ghost. Some have said they are of a liter wool that sounds good to me. Reason being I have one of Laclair's in gray and it is heavey. Durning a Nov elk hunt I had to remove layers from underneath it was so warm. It may be the same weight at Asbell's grey I dont know for sure. But you may check with Laclair for those looking for heavier weights, because that puppy was warm. I hope to enjoy the Asbell as well, and seeing how I mostly still hunt a little liter wool will be perfect.

My Mackinaw (green) and hooded vest (timber ghost) came today!! Can't wait to try them out tomorrow. Green wool seems a lot heavier than the timber ghost. Thats ok I got the lighter one in the vest, so I'll wear it over the mackinaw. I got the XXL and they will be great as top layers.  HURRAY!

Yep got my timber ghost vest last night. It is liter than the solid gray shirt I already have from LaClair. The shirts come from the same source so if you want heavier wool oder the solid gray or the brown. The vest is sweet love the pockets. Now waiting for a striped shirt from LaClair, and I will some good wool for next season.

Got my black/tan mackinaw in the mail. I'm 5'11", 195# (yeah, gained 5# since Christmas. Glad the bowl games are done), and the large fits just fine with room to spare for layering. I love it!!
