Man! That is a fine looking piece of craftsmanship right there.

I had the full pine cones on both of my Morrisons,I really liked them alot. It made my hand a little bit sore at first for a day of so then it never bothered me after that, they are great with a glove on. I would highly recommend them.Forgot to mention he does a great job on them and they also look great!

Here's mine. My thoughts on the performance of this type checkering over a conventional criss-cross pattern is the Cheyenne riser is so balanced up/down and left/right when drawn there is no real benefit to the checkering other than for cosmetic reasons. I have other bows which need checkering when I wear a winter glove to hunt with to keep my hand from sliding on the draw but with the Morrisons I really don't think its necessary.

I have some on my Shawnee.  I can't really say either way as to whether it is better or not.  The riser that I bought happened to have them, but I wouldn't pay extra if I were to order a new one.  They look cool, but I probably prefer a leather grip myself.

I don't have a pic,but the used Morrison I have has a half cone. I like it,and it does not seem to be a problem in any way. Makes the bow kinda unique!

I agree i think the pine cone does more asthetically than it does functionally, i have the full pine cones on a riser very similar to yours, i love everything about the bow its my go to set up

This was an in-stock riser. I had Bob put the half-cone on. Not necessary, but nice.

Killdeer,
Very beautiful riser - and pine cone!  What is that wood combo?  Ebony of some sort?  I like that little design at the top in the throat.  Mine is not quite like that.
