I also suppose, that I wouldnt shoot better with a checkered grip. But "it feels more secure" sounds really good.Thats what I wanted to read

I like "real" checkering, it can be beautiful (like JL's above) as well as functional. Don't care for some of the chicken scratch stuff you see offered by some bowyers.

I don't care for checkering in the grip...I like mine smooth so that pivot point does what it's supposed to do. Pivot.

Shoot one before you buy.
I bought a Morrison with a checkered grip. It was a beautiful bow, but after shooting it for a while, it hurt my hand.
The guy I sold it to loves it. Matter of opinion.
