Trad gear makes it taste better!!
« on: January 05, 2010, 07:42:00 PM »
Sitting in my chair after finishing a meal and just had to write this. Deer filets, seasoned then bacon wrapped, seared and finished in the oven. And those filets came off the only deer I had a chance at with my recurve this year. Thank goodness I didn't blow my only chance!! A very slow season in terms of deer seen but it seems to make the venison taste that much better!!

One month left? You'll get it done. Didn't realize NJ went that long though.

Ok dang it I just drooled on my computer!!!! but I agree they do taste better I like to think because they are preseasoned and smoked with cedar wood.
Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.
