Allan, I'm glad somebody is getting some use out of that Shrew Lite.

It looks like Warden609 got the big buck attactant package and accuracy package option with his Shrews. Ron never offered me the big buck attractant package on my Shrews, but perhaps that's because we're in camp together and he doesn't want my bow drawing all the big bucks from his stand. Hmmmmmm.......

I'm waiting on my first trad. bow, from Maddog Archery, when I get up to speed, I'm gonna be on the Shrew Order List!  :bigsmyl:
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥

Warden609  very nice bucks and the pictures are very good quality. Did you shoot those in kentucky?  If so kentucky must be a sleeper state or should I say was. Congrats on the nice bucks
Both deer were killed in Kentucky. Thanks

Warden609

Ray, the turkey package is really expensive.

Nice Tom, Richard!

Is that a 52 inch CH in the photo?

Enjoy the feast!

Shoot straight, Shinken

Warden609,

That's a dandy bird and nice picture. I know how expensive that turkey package is!! My avitar has my first turkey with a bow from back in 2000 that I got with my Super Shrew Samurai.  It was my first Super Shrew and after bagging countless deer at Shrewhaven, that turkey and a P.Y. class bear, it's been semi-retired (well, a 60 inch Super Shrew with special wood riser combinations and bamboo core/stained curly birch limbs really has shoved it aside-truth be told the Samurai is about 62#'s at my draw and my 60" Super Shrew is about 50#'s).

It is a 58" Super Shrew with stained curly birch. I have never shot the classic hunter, but I hear they are great bows. Thanks

Ray, I look forward every year to hearing the stories from Shrew Haven. You being co-chef I bet you see alot of new Shrews. Is the Super Shrew model your favorite?

Ray Lyon

Richard,

I personally like the 60" Super Shrew (I draw 30").  My Super Shrew Samurai is 58" and it's just been an outstanding bow. I like the 56" Classic Hunter and the 58" Scout recurve too. My personal preference is as follows:

60" Super Shrew
58" Scout recurve
56" Classic Hunter
58" Samurai
Next I'd probably put a 56" Little Favorite Recurve. I've not shot one, but now that they're available, I think that would be dandy little bow.

One of the favorite parts of Shrew Haven lodge is getting to try prototypes and to also shoot everyone elses bows.  The other fun thing is sampling great bourbons and appetizers each night after the hunt. Darn, camp is just too many months away right now.

The good times don't last long enough. Hope you guys have a great hunting season.

Pdk25 (Pat) is getting his Shrew from me, I got it from Allen. Pat wouldn't be getting it if I didn't have a new one going on the line in the next week or so. He'll find it to be a pretty sweet bow.
Lefties are the only ones who hold the bow in the right hand.

I'm on the list for one like originally pictured and I am VERY anxious.  Normally I'm not a big fan of "short" longbows but these are really something.  I just hope mine comes in time for the Fall hunt!

I have to say i like your bow, but i like this line even better.
