I had our own sponsor Lonnie at Camo Dip - Precision Hydographics do my shiny old Groves recurve in Fall Predator ( I think that's what he called it) and I have had trouble finding the bow if I put it down in the woods ever since.

I like natural camo   :D

I also painted a quiver and the bottom of my tree stand with the textured Rustoleum paint that someone mentioned above.  One day I'm gonna send a bow to Lonnie and have him dip it in a Predator camo.
Chasing my kids and my degree for now but come next fall the critters better look out.  ;)

Hi All,

I bought a pair of "camo bow socks" for my bow.  Essentially, a set of light weight cloth tubes with elastic at the ends.  Slip one over the upper limb and one over the lower limb.  The elastic holds them in place.  At that time they cost me about $4.

I forgot about a buddy of mine, he has something like that on his recurve limbs except they're like a 3D leafy suit.

I've used the cloth camo tape for quite a few years. It sticks well, the residue comes off easily with "Goof-off", and the tape really protects the limbs from scratches. I like it alot.

I just lightly spray the backs of my limbs almost transparent to take the shine off.  I like it to look like a shadow...Doc

Most of my camo jobs resemble Tippit's or Denny Sturgis. However, this summer I got some spray cans and did what i thought was a real nice job. Like tippit, the more like a shadow it looks the better. During the season my wife noticed my bow was very shiny. It turns out the paint I bought was semi gloss and not flat giving it a "sheen" in sunlight. In the dark times of early morning or late afternoon I was fine but not when the sun was shinning. I covered the limbs with cloth tape. The mistake I made was looking at the tops of the cans which show you the color and I didn't pay much attention to the label. Next time it will be camo did or FLAT paint.
By the way, those of you who have gone the dipped method, does the finish have any shine to it or not?
