Delta/Bighorn quiver...?
« on: January 14, 2010, 10:53:00 PM »
I searched and found a couple links on another thread but they did not work. I know the seven arrow delta quivers were sold by Wes Wallace, Black Widow, etc. several years ago. My favorite was a 6 arrow model I purchased with my Bighorn back in the 80s.
I pulled up one of the links and it says the guy bought the equipment for the bighorn quiver, but could not find any other info. Anyone know if either of these are available anywhere?

Are you sure it wasn't a 7 arrow quiver? 3Rivers sells a 7 arrow quiver for the Bear Custom Kodiaks-Delta 7 arrow quiver-same thing.I don't remember Bighorn selling a 6 arrow model.I do remember them selling the 7 arrow Delta.

I talked with Black Widow a couple weeks ago.  They can't get them any more.  I think Keith Chastain knows that becasue the price on his website is $45 and when I called to order it was more like $85, so I bought one off the auctions site for $12.51   :D

Guess I didn't look hard enough on 3 rivers site, found it now. Thanks.

JimB, pretty sure it was a 6 arrow, 4 on top/2 under, but I may be wrong. The hood was sort of textured, not smooth. Would have been in 1985/86. I used that thing until it broke several years later.

Couldn't stand it, dug out my copy of Instictive Shooting by GFA. The quivers were 6 arrow, maybe I'm not loosing it after all......ha.

Wish those were still available.

Those 6 arrows quiver were available from Bighorn since the operations were held in FT.Lupton,CO;then under the new ownership in the beginning of the 90s in their catalog they offered the 7 arrow, that everone knows.

I believe the 6-arrow Shaft-Master Quiver, originally designed by Bighorn Bowhunting Co. in 1981 is still available.  Ron Rockwell from Colorado has been building them for years.  He had a booth at a Colorado shoot I visited last summer.  Here is some contact information -- hopefully it is correct....

Good Luck!
