Anybody dealt with National Archery Supply?
« on: January 15, 2010, 12:24:00 AM »
I placed an order with them on Boxing Day (Christmas money) but I seem to be having some problems - they don't answer the phone and won't return email requests for info on my order. My credit card was charged however.

Just wondering if this is an unusual situation, or is standard practise for this company.

Hopefully others have had a better experience than mine at the present.

Yes! And I know of other people who have had the same problems as me and you have.

I ordered a couple of rinehart targets from them a few months back...August, I think.

They called me right back when I left em a message and wanted to place my order.  Told me it'd be 2 weeks.

4 weeks later, I emailed em and they said that Rinehart was going to be drop shipping them from their factory to me.  Well, I called Rinehart and asked em if they even knew about my order. "Nope."  Even Rinehart has the same problems with NAS...can't get anybody to get into contact with them.

Apparently what NAS does is they hold on to all orders before sending them off, for some reason. They finally faxed my order to Rinehart 7 weeks after my card had been charged for it. (I dont think they even keep anything in stock...its all drop shipped, I believe!)

Britney at Rinehart finally called me on the 7th week and told me that NAS finally faxed my order to them, and that my targets would be at my door in about 7 to 10 days. And they were.

I'm never dealing with NAS again...not after that crap. Good thing I didn't need something in a hurry.

I saved a bit of loot by ordering from NAS, but it wasn't worth the wait...next time, I'm ordering right from Rinehart.

Good luck with your order man!  It may be a while, but hopefully it'll show up.  Call and leave a message saying you want to place an order, and they'll call you back. Then get after em about your order!

Looks like my experience mirrors many others. I have a hard time with supposed archers taking advantage of other archers. In a way I'm glad this happened so others can be warned. There are many other good ones out there. I've dealt with 3Rivers, Git-R-Done, and Kustom King with outstanding results.

Maybe we need a warning list for vendors the same as we have for buying bows.

Perhaps we need to keep this alive for a while so more of our members don't get burnt.

My hats off to the many good vendors we have sponsoring this forum. Never had a bad experience with a Tradgang sponsor.

Mods, you're doing a great job. Thx

Took them 6 weeks to ship my CE 250 arrows...Same thing, no way to get in touch with them other than email...and the response only came after I asked for a refund.  They collected interest on my money for 6 wks.  Never again!

Thx all. I'll be asking for a refund tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to work with Master Card. Looks like I'm in for the long haul. Sure could have used those shafts for the tourny in PA this coming weekend. Oh well, live and learn.

Anybody have any Good Experiences with suppliers in Canada?

All I have heard and read about NAS are complaints about how they conduct business. I'm glad I never placed an order with them.

Actually, one of the guys I talked to at NAS said they were based out of Canada, and that they had a warehouse in North Dakota that they ship out of.

Same type of problems with NAS--took forever for an order to come, cancelled it by email (nobody answered the phone) and I received it a couple of weeks later anyway. Never again-- I was caught up by a very low price.

Thanks for the heads up everyone. Hopefully this thread will help to affect their bottom line which, unfortunately, is all some people care about.

-go to the Canadian section on "AT" and read the disgruntled comments. Too bad, cause us Canadians have very few retail stores to make purchases.

Well, finially got a refund out of them. Strange, they insisted on sending out a check instead of reversing the charges on my credit card. Suspect it's just one more delaying tactic as I have never heard of a problem reversing charges.

Now that I'm a little gun shy, does anyone know of a reputable online dealer for gold tips and components. I know Kustom King has them, but they only sell by the 1/2 doz and don't stock original inserts.

Stateside and Canadian suggestions are welcome!
