Marking arrows for draw lenght
« on: January 16, 2010, 10:07:00 PM »
I have been putting some white electrical tape on my carbon arrows to mark my draw length.  I did it initially to draw eyes closed to what felt right then looking to see where I was on the arrow.  It also turned out to work great for a check system so I can make sure I am drawing consistent in practice.  I even think my peripheral vision catches it when I am not looking specifically at it.  I shoot my arrows a little longer so this has been a help.  I am surprised how many times I have shot them into bags and foam and the tape is still on.  A little has warn off, but it is still there.  It actually rubs off more on the back pulling arrows than on the front from going into the target.  Now I am thinking it would be nice to maybe put a little paint stripe on and clear over it so it lasts a lot longer.  Anyone ever do that?
