Safari tuff quiver with hex small game tips
« on: January 17, 2010, 02:37:00 PM »
I would like some ideas for carrying my squirrel arrows.  The hex point is so large I can't get it to stay in the foam.  Anyone have a solution?

you could take a torch and heat the tip up. Then push the tip into the foam to make a custom fit.

I leave the judos loose in the quiver.  They won't fall out with normal movements as the hood seems to keep them from doing so.  I have to push them up into the hood to get them in so I know they will not fall out on their own.

Put em in backwards. Nocks in the foam.

It's funny this topic should come up today, as i was wondering the same thing this am before heading to the woods for tree rats! I wound up putting all 8 of my hex heads or judos in loose and found that there wasn't a problem with them riding that way at all, they didn't rattle around like I thought and they stayed in the quiver till I needed one or two or three or never mind I just kept missing!!  tree rats win today!   the quiver worked out great with loose arrows in it!!

When I'm carrying Hex blunts or Hammerheads with broadheads during deer season, I simply heat up a head with the torch then insert it into the foam...makes a nice little custom fitted sheath for a Hex or Hammerhead  :)

I leave mine loose, I take Hex, judos, talon and sgh small game heads mixed in with my broadheads and never had a problem! I keep my small game arrows pushed to the back, works perfect!

I do the same and have no issues.  Maybe if I was doing some extreme moves, but just walking and hunting it is not a problem at all for me so far.

I only use the foam in the quiver for broadheads. I never have a problem with blunts or field points falling out, and never use the fletch cover.

I let mine rattle, it seems to confuse the game making for an easy shot
