Used to shoot clays quite often.  we found that we could make a nicer flight with the hand launcher than the spring launcher. After awhile we could hit often enough to make it fun.  I found that shooting things tossed in front of my target stack was a little hard on my form, since it requires such fast technique. The clay birds allows one to use the same timing that shooting pheasants requires.

I used to go shoot them with my Dad and uncle several times. It was always fun.
