Robertson 1pc recurves question
« on: January 26, 2010, 10:58:00 AM »
My wife just give me the OK for another bow.  :readit:      I have some Robertson 1pc longbows and have been thinking about ordering one of his 1pc recurves.  I have never shot one or even held one in my hands.  Kinda' going off of his great longbows and takedowns.  Have any of yall shot them? What did you think? How did it draw and shoot? Handshock?
I got a million questions, can some of yall help me out?  :campfire:
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Psalms 3:3

For convenience I use the TDs but you can arrange with Dick to have a test bow so you can answer your own questions.

The Tribal is based on the same limb profile as the peregrine (which is no longer fabricated) but with a pistol grip instead of a longbow grip. I've found the peregrine few fps slower than the Tribal. I've buyed a tribal styk (in stock) in march 09 to give it a try...I've been very impressed by the smoothness and speed, I shot it at 179 fps for 10 grains per pound and 28" DL (550 grains arrow). This 60" bow can easely handle 30 to 31" draw length. Of course as all good high-end bow, there is no handshock.

Guess what : I sold it !   but just to order one to my specs, and I just get it today!

I have the Peregine and it is one of my favorite bows for looks and shooting.
