Sheds and wives
« on: January 27, 2010, 11:13:00 AM »
Well I have to tell you, my wife is making me look bad. After walking for 6 miles on Sunday looking for whitetail sheds and shooting my longbow at elk stumps and dreaming of fall, I found one chewed up shed from a raghorn from last year. I enjoyed the walk and the longbow shooting but was a little disgusted with a lack of horns. Hey it's still early right? This morning my wife left for work after me (we work together at our own business) and walked into the clinic and flopped a 4 pt shed on my desk. I will not tell you what she said as it is not suitable for a family program. Something about my shed hunting ability  :)  She found it in our driveway! So I either missed it (likely) and drove over it or he dropped it in the 15 minutes between our seperate departures. Will walk quietly around her today for fear she will tell EVERYONE she sees.

Tell her you didn't miss it-you were just checking how alert she was. Hap

Heck, I thought you did something she didn't like, and she sent you to the shed.  Happens to me all the time.  :knothead:

You think that's bad.. Daryl Kempher went out looking for sheds last weekend with his wife Kelly. He found two... she found TEN. He asked me not to tell anyone... so I'm not. 8^) BW

Well, next week she may just go out and enjoy a walk in the woods and you might have to stay home and vacuum!

When you start to find more just keep putting them on the driveway.  Try and act puzzled and surprised when she keeps finding them.  After a couple she will know it is you, but just keep it up.  She will not be sure if she really found that first one after that.  It will be a good joke back on her for giving you a hard time.  In the end fess up she did find the first, but have some fun first.
