Bohning Fletch-Lac & gaskets?
« on: January 31, 2010, 08:04:00 PM »
Are any of you using a gasket dipper with the Bohning sealers?  Specifically thinking of Fletch-Lac Clear over stain, then re-dipping front 10" or so w Super Coat to prevent target burn.

Also, I saw the "eco-dipper" at Kzoo this weekend and was wondering if that would work with Bohning products.

Brian, I spoke with the guys to some extent and they said you can use just about anything with the ECO DIPPER...... stain, cap dip with paint etc... My buddy picked one up. The gasket Laquer with the eco dipper is a pretty easy way to make woodies, super fast, clean and no mess to deal with! I can't wail to borrow his for a test run!

Bohning products will not work thru a gasket.  Fletch Lac is made to run off the shaft. The gasket will pull it off.

Kinda what I thought, but I bought a ECO DIPPER anyway. I have some Bohning paints that are thick and I thought I would give it a try. Duane
