Going to try A/D carbon, need advice

I've gone on 2 sites and they are both a little different on what shaft to shoot. One says trad lite and the other traditional.  Might be easier to compare the shaft I shoot now, 20/20 cut 30 1/2 with a 175 head.  The bow is a Robertson long bow 63 # @ 29" but I really pull 29 1/2" so a pound or 2 more.  I would like to shoot the hammerheads if I can.  Thanks for your help.

You can get the hammer head in trad or tradlite. I'm shooting 30" tradlites w/ 175 gr. points in all my longbows from 55# to 60#. they all shoot great

I shoot Hammerheads from some of my bows that are close to yours and they are great. Paul Mattson at Badger Arrow built them. Be sure to get the 100 grain brass inserts.

I have some advice.... dont waste your time.  They dont make you any better and their not vert tough.... everything you hit splits the nock end unless you install 3-28 inserts. Get you some 50 dollar a dozen gold tip shafts and have a blast.

Gee, Predator Man. I have been shooting the AD Trads for several years and I have never had the nock end split on one. and yes, I have hit rocks, trees, all kinds of stuff and critters.

Buy the Trads-or any AD- and you won't be disappointed.  I shoot them at the full 32" and they seem to fly true out of every bow I shoot them out of.  VERY FORGIVING!

Havent tried the AD trad's but I have shot the gold, green, and orange labels. A friend of mine turned me on to them. I was spliting shafts on the nock end every time I missed a target.  I even split them a couple of times when I hit a 3d target in the leg and it penitrated to the metal leg support. Ruined a dozen in less than a month before my friend told me he to had the same issues until he started glueing 3-28 acc inserts in them.  How fast is your bow? I was shooting mine about 205 fps so that could be the difference.

They may be ok for most but for about $30 a dozen cheaper my expedetion hunters are way better in the strength department.

Guess I've been lucky with all my customers. Sold quite a few doz Trads and Trad Lites and no one has complained yet about the problems you have experienced....and these guys are pretty rough on arrows.

I've been stumpshooting with them now for a few months and they seem to hold up very well. Sorry to hear you had all those problems....

I had some, and I really liked them. I shot the lites was using #43@28 and #46@28 but was drawing more like 29 1/2. Mine had the 100 grain insert and was using 125 grain point and were 30 inches long. If I had the money I would buy more!

I had some of the Trad Lites,, I didn't have problems with the shaft splitting like predator did, but they didn't seem to shoot right for me. Might have been a bad batch. IDK.

Hard to explain,,, they flew good, but they would not group together. Couldn't figure out what was going on until I started rotating the nocks and then they began grouping better. I assume these shafts have a stiff side and one needs to find it before tuning. I got rid of them, and got some shafts that were cheaper and didn't have to rotate the nocks to get'em grouping together.

Like I said, I may have just got a bad batch, YMMV....lot of people love'em.
