bow identification

a friend of mine told me about a bow he found in his basement i believe he said he thinks it may be a 1958 bear of some kind it can be shot either right or left handed anyone know anything about this bow? thanx

A lot more information is needed.  Make, model, serial may help, photo would be priceless 8^).
