I have made the switch... Thanks Kip

I think it was inevitable in a way. I started hunting altogether about 4 decembers ago with birds and eventually conspired one sick addiction to waterfowling. 2 season's ago I picked up a compound cause I wanted to get into archery. And I must say, it was on after that. To say I was hooked is an understatement. But something was still lacking i thought. Maybe it was the Barta coming out of me. I was seriously sick with the compound, robinhoods @ 40, and it hated deer   :D   My hunting family MADE me try a recurve during late deer, and it was awesome, minus the finger shock of not having tabs, but I impressed them and myself. Still hitting the target at 40 yards (these are fun shots guys, I don't hunt 40 yards with a bow, and I don't hunt with a firearm sooooo)

Then a trad rabbit hunt came, and I was made to go. I was handed a recurve (a borrowed bear grizz) and told "shoot the rabbit"   :biglaugh:   ok!? Six shots that day, no golden bunnies, but a new love. I start asking around, caught wind of this site, which is easily the baddest site around (you'll catch me in the bowyer's bench a lot)and found a bow Kip was selling in the classifieds. Now that bow is in my possesion, and I gotta tell you, this guy sold me a freakin brand-new-2-me 1976 K-Mag that is seriously still brand new. It's seriously THAT sexy.

I can't thank you enough Mr. M. I hope to do you and the bow very proud. And I wanted to say I am very fondly looking forward to becoming a traditional bowhunter.

Now, what do I do with my compound.....

welcome aboard. hunting/shooting a compound is a great sport and I did it for a few years. That said, it's not even close to the fun and relaxation, stress relief  I have shooting my Cheks.

It's a passion that can grow with you. I can't remember the last time I hunted with my 12 over under or my ruger 270 win. Just lost to hunt with anything other than a recurve.

Enjoy
