Why would you use a BH that's only 1 inch wide?  The only possible reason (and not a very good one) is for penetration.  AND then shoot a BH with what I call high shoulders that impede penetration.  Looks like a useless BH in every respect that I can see.

There's too many good BH's out there to use that.

I'm not putting up with this guys shit and dogging me.

I have not used this head, but I am a little curious as to what circumstances these heads would excel.  I agree with Bowmania, that if you are looking for penetration a somewhat longer broadhead with the same width might be a better choice.  If  penetration isn't a concern, then a wider broadhead or 3 blade broadhead might be a better choice.  I am sure that it is built rock solid and nearly indestructible, but I really don't know where that would be an issue. If you plan on hitting bone to destroy the head, then a longer single bevel might be a better choice.  The other strong suit of this head might be it's small profile for ease of tuning, but that is easily overcome with a little effort.  All of this being said, if you are hunting deer there probably aren't many heads on the market that won't get the job done.

well bowmania, the dead doe wouldn't say it was a "useless" broadhead and  i would venture to say that millions of animals have been killed with a 1" wide head...ever look at a flint head? it is a cut on contact pretty well made head that you can get sharp...it'll work.Do i use others? sure, but to say "useless in every respect"? not so.

I used the Phathead last year with great results! 4 dead deer did'nt think the head was useless. It sharpens easily with my KME and holds edge a long time. It always amazes me how some guys get on here that have never used a product but can have such strong opinions.  "[dntthnk]"

I hope that I didn't come across as too harsh.  I have no doubt that it could get the job done on certain game.  I'm just not sure what it would be the best choice of the available broadheads for.  I prefaced my earlier comments by saying that I hadn't used the product.

It shouldn't amaze you after the first time  :saywhat:

Although not 'useless'...I agree with Bowmania....if you are going to use a narrow 1 inch wide head....why would you use one with that agressive angle of attack?  That in itself defeats the purpose of the narrow head.  Not saying those heads 'wont' work...but there ARE 1 inch heads that will work BETTER all day long, and Steel Force makes a few of them as well.

If you want to use a 1 inch head, use a longer one for a better angle of attack.

I used a Steel Force Sabertooth this year on a doe and had great performance.  I'd love to try one of their traditional styled broadheads but they're a little pricey.  Excellent broadheads  though, and talked to their rep at the Eastern Sports Show and Denton Hill last year and he was real nice guy.

3 Rivers has a nice price on an exclusive model 150 grainer...its a 4 blade and the bleeders have a great angle of attack.  Course, you could take them out if you need a 2 blade, but you'd need their tool to do so.
