Quinn Longhorn Classic

Looking for input from those of you that have shot this bow. I already own a Stallion, so if you have shot both how did they compare?

Same basic design as the stallion, just nicer to look at. Since they have the same limbs, same geometrey, the will shoot the same, you might have better hand control on the wooden grip. I shoot the stallons so well, I have about quit shooting anything else, including my ILF bows, sold my BW's. The classic hand hold will be slightly bigger, all else is the same.

Huge difference in grip, I love the grips on the Stallion and Stingray, but couldn't get used to the larger/blockier grip on the Classic Lonhorn.  But if you like a larger handle, this is probably one of the very best values out there.

Dollar for dollar you will be hard pressed to beat a Quinn bow in my humble opinion.

funny this topic came up,i was looking for a new bow and was really considering getting one of these,but chose a lewis hollow t/d longbow instead.

Like the others said the grip is the main difference.  It is quite a bit thicker and has a much higher wrist.  I've owned two at one time or another and wouldn't be suprised to find myself shooting another someday.

I heard or read somewhere that David now will customize the grip to either high, medium, or low depending on what you prefer. Some of you have mentioned the grip being larger. Are we talking about in relation to other wood risers or just the Stallion grip?

I believe the Longhorn's circumference at throat of grip is about 5" or a little more. The Stallion grip is about 4-3/4" or a little less.

The Longhorn isn't cut past center as much as the Stallion. Can't remember how much, probably about 1/8" to 3/16" past center... the Stallion is 5/16" past center.

The Longhorn is unbelievably quiet (for a recurve). It is quieter than the Stallion with both set up the same way re: silencing.

They both have very similar performance, draw force curves, and the same easy-to-tune characteristics.
