Widow shooters question
« on: February 08, 2010, 07:26:00 PM »
My son is shooting a 58",55@28" SA. He draws 29" and is a lefty. He's shooting a 4560 shaft with a 165 gr. tip, but that obviously isn't the correct arrow for him. He can't get the arrow to impact in line with where he's aiming. Remembering that he's a lefty, he's always hitting right of where he aims. I would have thought that being underspined, he would be hitting to the left. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Knobby-
I shoot a PSA 60", 50@28", and I draw 29". I shoot 4560's with 215 up front, and they fly well for me. I am surprized they are hitting to the right.
Hitting to the right indicates a stiff arrow for L.H. Maybe a little more up front will help?

"[dntthnk]"  for left hand the arrow to the right is stiff and to the left is weak or false weak due to the arrow being way stiff and bouncing off the riser.

What kind of 4560 shaft is he shooting--I would think that a carbon spined for up to 60# would work just fine out of an SA--Hitting Right for a lefty does indicates stiff or false stiff--I don't think that arrow is too stiff out of a center cut bow, if anything it may be on the weak side--If the flight looks pretty good then I would think it is more of a form problem of some kind--could he possibly be tourquing the bow?

It's a Carbon Express 4560. According to Widow, he's way too weak. He's tried real stiff shafts, but the flight was terrible. That's why we tried softer. The flight improved some, but the right impact is still a problem.
