Here is a picture of my best pack goat. I have another one that is over the hill (10 years old) but might make through another season. I am going to give them both a try packing this year.

don't know about deer decoys,but they work good for mountain lion!!! friend lost 2 to a lion last summer during pack trip. claimes that cat followed him all the way back to the trail head.

Hey Conner he still should have a few years left just keep a eye on him while you are hiking. I retired mine as a packer after 13 years he still likes to walk just alot slower now.

There was a good story in one of the magazines recently. Guy said he didn't even have to put leads on them. They just followed along.
