Purdy new riser
« on: April 19, 2007, 09:07:00 PM »
Just picked up my Bear's Paw takedown longbow from Neil today.  Beautiful new riser!  Here's a couple pics.  Last one is the original riser.  Like the new shape a little better.

Sorry, forgot the specs.  62" 63lbs @ 28".  Cocobolo and Osage with black phenolic.  Canary limb veneers over maple cores.

Thanks for the compliments guys.  It's not quite as florescent as the flash makes it out to be, but I sure do love it.  Man it's better than Christmas around here.  Get my "free" takedown recurve next week.  Yep, I said free.  Search for my post NEW SKINS for the story.  I'll post pics when I get it.

I'll bet that riser sits better in you hand too, with a bit more weight behind your hand...

I had a Bear's Paw once piece...one of those bows I wouldn't mind having back.

Herkimerhunter,

No, the coco is natural, just real orange.  The first picture is more realistic color wise, the flash kind of made the close up florescent looking.
