looks like you need to lower your hand that to me would make for bad inconsistant arrow flight .,

You got Lucky that the Arrows didnt do more "Cutting" than they did! I have cut the Snot out of my hand,
MY
Fault too. Those will be Painful for a while. :(
I always put a Drop of Fletching Glue on that Leading edge. Or if I am in the Mood, I wrap that Leading End with some slick Silk Fly-Tiers "Floss?" or Wrap.

Jason, sounds like it's time for you to build a bow with a higher shelf!

Agree with Ferret. High speed photography of arrows upon release show it does not start spinning till well after the arrow clears the bow. It also shows the fletching, in the case of the photos, plastic fletch, actually waved up and down after release. So much for total clearance. Not certain if feathers do that as well.
Same photos show the arrow doing its paradox thing. Wow...was that eye opening. Any nody still have access to those photos ? I believe Easton did a whole series with pro archers (supposedly very good at relase) using both releases and fingers/

I don't think the arrow is spinning just my big paw in the way.. Tim fishell and I shot today and he looked at what I had going on, good arrow setup, great flight , very small shelf, hand to big for small shelf, must use high wrist hold to shoot this bow.
I would hold my hand lower but the bows design will not allow me to. It has a good deep pistol grip.
Thanks fellas Jason B.

I have the exact same problem.
I bare shaft tested some 2018 fletched them up with left wing feathers. No problems. I ran out of LW for the last 3 so I used some RW. Same shafts, and they cut my hand every time.

Oh, I see from the pictures. Your hand IS all in there...no wonder.
Looks like a trade is called for...good luck.
