German Mountain Pine Shafts

Kustom King has German Mountain Pine shafts in there new catalog.  Never heard of them before, has any one else.  Are they good, bad, what can one expect.

If it is the same "northern pine" I bought and used a couple of years ago don't bother. Only 50% of them were usable. I used heat to straighten them and broke many of the 200 shafts I purchased. I wouldn't even bother using them for stumping arrows. These may not be from the same manufacturer so they may be of a better quality. I would purchase a few at a time before ordering in bulk thinking they are a good deal. Sorry to be negative but my experience with pine shafting was an eye opener as to what one would call premium and anothers definition of premium.

Lots of different pines     Most of them will make a good arrow if the manufacturer does their part.

I prefer lodgepole pine over cedar any day     Heavier, tougher and recovers just as quickly.  I haven't seen what I call "premium" cedar in a long time.
