Another Lost Creek
« on: February 16, 2010, 08:51:00 PM »
I just received my 2nd Lost Creek, one in Jan. and one in Feb. I don't think the Mrs will stand for me getting one a month for the rest of the year. She thinks they're beautiful but I think I better cool it for a bit.
This one's a 56", 46 @ 27 with bubinga veneers. I was able to shoot it for about 30 minutes before it was too dark to see and I'm very impressed. It feels just as smooth as my 60" that Chad made for me and at 25 yards puts a 540 grn fir arrow in the same group as the 60" which pulls 2 pounds heavier. Of course it's what I've come to expect from a Lost Creek, smooth, quiet, quick and dead in the hand.
Chad put a thumb rest on this one and it fits me perfectly. I think I may like it better than the 60" but then I feel bad because I feel like I'm cheating on it.
It was too late for me to take pictures this evening but Chad sent me a couple over the weekend for a fix to get me through till it got here. I hope I don't have to work this weekend so I can spend some time getting to know my new girl come Saturday.

Thanks Fellas,
I really can't take any credit on the wood. Chad did such a nice job on my 60" with Tamo Ash veneers, I asked his advice when I ordered this one. He suggested this combo and after looking at some pics of quilted bubinga I aggreed. He knows his stuff!
Chads bows look just as good as they shoot and
they shoot great. I'll post some more pics this weekend.

Nice bow! I don't own one but was very impressed when looking at them and shooting them last year at our traditional shoot. Quality bow and reasonably priced.

This little bow sure blends in to that tree. I'm glad you like the second Lost Creek as much as the first one. Thanks everyone for the nice comments on the bows. Chad
