Finished...

By soaking the crumbly bleached bone with thin CA glue, it can be polished up like marble and all the cracks show for character.  Now just one more to finish before choosing the St Judes Tippit/Shell knife.

That one will be called Vance's Generosity!  Stay tuned...Doc

She is sweet Jeff...a great design, that looks equally as good as it will perform, I am sure.

That is drop dead gorgeous!    :clapper:  I love the way the osage grain follows the taper of the handle on the backside.  Attention to detail like that, along with the file work and beautiful bone, really sets this one apart.

Fine looking knife Doc. Looks like it would fit my hand just like a glove.

And I just found that desert ironwood for ya last night.. I will get that out ASAP. I like the zebra idea..with that flat sheeted grain it should be striking for you.

I told the bowyer to save me any scraps for knife scales.

Wow great work. I can not wait for the auction. I got a new job so everyone will have to step up their game and break piggy banks to beat me.  :bigsmyl:    ;)    :jumper:

Whip,
Glad you noticed that grain pattern...but then again I've seen pictures of your wood shop.  So no surprise!

Ray,
Pete & I will have a whole lot of that Zebra if you need to match that bow with some steel   :)

JC,
The ugly weather beaten bone comes out the prettiest.

Ray,
PS: It should be striking for you.  Can't wait to see it along side an African critter.
