to much FOC

Try again....using a 60" black douglas TD.63#@28". I'm drawing 29.5" and using 2317@30" with125 grain broadheads.   I know my FOC is low and want to get it way up there so would 200/250 grain broadheads be ok or too much?also thought about adding 100 grain brass inserts. any help would be great.thanks again

Just know that if you add weight to the front of your arrows it will weaken the dynamic spine.So if you add any weight to the front of your existing arrows,assuming they are tuned to your bow,they will then react is if they are weak spined.

If you want to increase FOC,you need to go one or two spine groups heavier,then add front end weight.I don't know any way to accurately calculate but you may need 20 lbs extra spine to compensate for 100 grs extra point weight.You may have to get a couple size heavier shafts and experiment.I would want to start with one 20 lbs heavier.

Cut 1/2 an inch off and add 50g up front.
It won't make your arrow penetrate any better than it would if it was flying properly,but it might make you feel happier.

EOFC is over rated and if you already have good arrow flight,it's a waste of time and effort unless your hunting huge aminals,,,,and even then people were shooting an killing the things well before the efoc craze came along.

Before you do any of that slicing and dicing I would see if they shoot as you have it.  Seems to me those arrows are pretty heavy spined as it is.  And to get a big FOC on those things, I am guessing 400 grains up front still won't get you to UFOC.

Did you actually bare shaft tune your current set up ?  Having large feathers on a hunting arrow can make a very large range of shafts and tip weights work out fine, from very light to very heavy spined.

My advise is to go slow and see what happens when you change one thing at a time.
