Takedown - felt pad (or other material) question

I just got a TD recurve back from being cleaned up. It was second hand to me, and the previous owner had padded the limb pockets with felt like it has been discussed here times before, assumably for noise issues. With the re-finish work, it is no longer there. What do you recommend? If it isn't already adhesive backed, what should I use to glue it on?
Sorry if this is a "stupid" question, but I have always shot 1 piece longbows.

Most plumbing supply stores sell sheets of do it yourself gasket material in different thicknesses. The cork stuff works best I think. Use contact cement or ducco to glue it on.

I got the stuff I use from Wal-Mart, in the childrens arts/crafts dept.. It's a thin (2MM?) foam pad, and it comes in an 8-1/2 X 11" sheet (+/-). Black is the color I use, but any color they have would work.
I cut them to a little larger than needed....then install my limbs. Tighten them down, then let it sit for a few hours. When you take the limbs off, the outline will be evident (where you need to trim).
I see NO need to use adhesives.
Good luck!

Bob, I would just go to Wally World and get a thing of camo mole skin. You get 2 pieces (forget the size) but one piece should be able to do one end. That's a piece on the limb and in the pocket.
That is what I use on My PSE Kingfisher. I have it in the pocket and on the limbs, Plus I have at the tips over the string groves. I added some yarn that I had to the string like bow hush (need to get the real deal) and w/bow puppies (the real ones) my bow is dead silent

I've used the PVC material they sell at Home Depot for lining shower stalls before they are installed. It is very inexpensive($5 will get you a lifetimes worth) and use contact cement to install.

Here is a site that sells neoprene, cork and felt with peel back adhesive. I have used their products and like them.

Thin sheet of cork gasket material. Weather doesn't affect it. My Chastain Wapiti TD uses it between the riser and limbs. I haven't had to replace mine and I bought my Wapiti new in 1987. The stuff is great.
