I had a Fred Hass recurve many years ago, great shooting bow I wish I still had it. If it`s the same Hass you are refering to he was a Montana bowyer.I dont think he is making bows anymore, not when I was trying to get a replacement bow. He made great one piece recurves.

If you can't find one of Freds bows, try a Bruin. Both Fred and Mike Steliga were tutored by Bill Pyle, who used to make the Staghorn recurves years ago. Mike has tweeked his styling a little from the Staghorn look, but Freds were very similar. Or you can try to find an old Staghorn XP 60 or XP 64. That's the bow the other two were shaped like. All of them are good bows.
