STOS Broadheads

Guys, I was just thinking of having some more 2 blades in my arsenal, and was wanting to get feedback on these. I have used Magnus I's in the past with good performance, but really like the look of these, especially with the narrower cut of 1 1/8". Your thought please. Thanks, mark

Im in the same boat you are! Im looking for a good solid head that sharpens easily, holds an edge and penetrates well for an upcoming elk hunt. Im going back and forth between the 160 Stos and the 160 Grizzly! More toward the Stos however as i know they are an excellent head and they also make a new single bevel head which will be available soon!

Fellows, I pretty-much just use STOS 160s, as I find they are easy to sharpen for my lack of ability, they are tough and get the job done in trying circumstances. I've got to run now, or I'd post some links to other STOS threads full of success stories and pictures. If you do a search for STOS, you'll bring-up the goods.

They pretty much shoot though about anything.
I used to hunt with them. I have shot end to end on pretty good hogs with lighter bows and the Stos.Great head and easy to get shaving sharp but a little small for my taste. My eyes are getting older and I need bigger bloodtrails than I used too.

I use the STOS 145 grain double bevel 2 blade glue on broadhead. STOS broadheads are excellent broadheads. They're easy to sharpen, stay sharp and they fly true. I glue the broadhead to an 11/32" 36 grain screw in Zwickey long broadhead adapter for a tip weight of around 180 grains. The broadhead then becomes the business end of my 32" (BOP), 2212 and 2213 aluminum arrows. If your bow has the poundage for an elk, the STOS broadhead will get the job done.

I use the 160gr with 125gr steel inserts. Bought 5 dozen last year and just about out. For the $$$ it's a hard head to beat as far as two blades go.

Same here. Used Zwickey and Magnus heads in the past, but this past season I've gone to the 160gr STOS. Great flight and I believe they are easier to sharpen than the others. I mounted them on 100 gr. adapters

Sharpen up very well, fly fantastic and zip right through critters and hold up very well.
They are very good heads.
