New to me silvertip!!
« on: March 02, 2010, 07:13:00 PM »
I recently discovered that I shoot a bigger, heavier riser better so I reluctantly put my shrew up for trade last week.
After several days and some really incredible offers from some great trad gangers I decided on a fine offer of an 09 Shafer Silvertip. 58" 52#@ 27
A couple of phone calls to finalize the deal and we both packed our bows up and sent them in opposite directions this past Saturday.
Had a package waiting on me when I arrived home this evening!
Quickly unpacked, a drooled over this fine stick and headed out to the range real quick before it got dark.
First 3 arrows at 20 yards.

( ignore the arrow hanging out of the target sideways, It hit straight LOL)
The groups kept getting tighter as the darkness closed in but I think I've got a winner!
Smooth! Dead in the hand. Shoots where I look! And its pretty too!  :p
Another great deal with another great trad ganger!

Congrats on a nice looking bow. Glad you are satisfied with your deal. Nothing worse than making a deal and deciding it wasn't what you were hoping for.      :clapper:

Nice bow. I also shoot a heavier riser better.
