The bow hospital is run by Whip of prairie traditions(sponsor).If he can't take care of you(and he can) then I also do bow repair/refinish/weight reduction.

Joe (Whip) Lasch just removed 4/5 lbs. on my 1976 Howatt Hunter and refinished it.Looks great,feels great and you will not find anyone better to deal with.Kip

Thanks guys.  Yes, I do weight reductions.  I know Chuck can take care of them as well, as can many other bowyers.  Some only want to work on their own bows, others (Like Chuck) will do any, and others are no longer around.  So I fill in the gaps.

The rule of thumb that I tell people is that most bows can be taken down by about 10% of the original weight, some a little more, some a little less.  It depends somewhat on the limb design and the thickness of the glass that was used.
