Jordan Stalker
« on: March 11, 2010, 06:53:00 AM »
John Jordan STALKER TD recurve .....
Anyone know this bow ?? Many people in Italian shooting forums says who is very fast and smooth but have a 29" draw wall.... my draw is 29,5"
Now in Italy it cost 810 Euro (like 1100 US$). I'll know if it's the right price compare to the performance, I'll buy a new Bow (I like American Recurve) and at same price I find Robertson, Black Widow, Bob Lee, etcc... etccc..
Any idea about...??
Thank you
Carlo

Carlo,

John makes an excellent recurve. It performs with the top end recurves. I still have one of John's recurve he made for me in 1992. I have been to his home several times. You will not find a nicer person. I think his bows sell new for around $550.00 to $600.00. I only draw 27" but I would be shocked if you told John your draw length was 29.5", that you would have problems with stacking if he made a  bow for you.

Craig,
thank you for your replay.
I'm interested to have other info about Jordan bows, about the wood lamination of the limbs and the Riser. I prefer weighted hard wood riser to absorbe vibration and and light and spedly lam limbs like Red Elm. Are you sure that the price are 550/600 US$...??? Have any contact for John Jordan ??
I still decide to buy another Bow after I'll sell my Black Widow PSAV, I like to change modern recurve.
Thanks
Carlo

If you go to  www.e-archery.it  this is the archery shop who sells his bows in Italy. He is in the process right now packaging up an order of bows he just finished to send to this bow shop. John is a personal friend of mine and he has shot bows since about 1972.

John does not have a website but on the website I just gave will have information and pic of his bow. I have many bows from John and they shoot great. Have won many tournements and state championships with his bow. They are smooth and quick. I just talked to John a couple weeks ago and his price is $450.00. He is really busy with making bows for the shop in Italy.

Here is a picture of the Stalker I bought last year, great shooter very fast, camo dymond wood riser and camo action wood limbs. John is a great guy.

A.F. Thank you .... here the actual cost of the Stalker bow is 810 euro (1100 US$)...too high for me.... I haven't test it and I don't spend a lot of money for one "unknow" bow, may be for one used but not for one new.
