G. Freds Pullovers?
« on: March 11, 2010, 07:09:00 PM »
can anyone tell me how heavy the wool is he uses and if you noticed can you say how tight the weave is?

I have Filson wool clothes and wondering if his wool is the same quality or better or worse,,,, I'm wondering for weather purposes and what time of year to use it.

thanks T

I picked up 2 in K-zoo.  The gray is heavier the plaid and multi's are lighter.  Talk to Teresea.  They are awesome.

Not as tight or heavy as Filson.

Perfect weight and cut large enough to layer underneath, it's my go to jacket and would highly recommend.  Have used from Maryland to Texas and places in between.

I have one I bought from Fred at the Boise Trad Expo West 3 years ago, I Don't know how tight the weave is, I'd guess it's a medium weave. I know it really keeps out the wind & is very warm. I use it a lot when it's nasty weather. I think you will like it.    :clapper:

The only way to know for sure is to talk to Teresa as the weight varies depending on color, etc.I bought one of the buffalo plaid in Kalamazoo and love it.I may pick up another one in Nashville if they are available there.
