Glad your well Curtis and as alway awesome pics. Now that I see what all of the hoopla is about free range pork I vow to chase em in a warm clime at least once a year and I hope to chase em with you reallllllll soon.

Curtis, Here is a copy of my post to another thread from the first January hunt. We had a great time and hope to come back and do it again next year.....and that's no BS.

When Curtis and I returned, it didn't take him long to read the sign and tell us that coyotes had gotten the wounded javie up and that they were able to take him down and had, in fact, eaten him.
 
Curtis then found the scene of a major struggle among the coyotes over the carcass and these were the only remains.
 
 

Curtis and Craig posed for this pic of Craig's "trophy" and then we continued a search for the head or hide but were unable to find either.
 

Watching Curtis in action while tracking the javie was worth the trip and seeing him fling that Texas Throwing Stick at a jackrabbit as we walked back to the truck was quite a "watch this" moment.  The jackrabbit was unharmed, but Curtis was wincing in pain as he twisted his injured back and shoulder with the effort.

It was a great trip and we hope to return to hunt the javies again soon in the West Texas terrain.

How about a few more of BoBo. BoBo is a famous blood trailing archery hog. He's been in TBM in one of Jason Westbrocks article.

He was a pet when he was young.

 

Then he got older and I started using him to blood trail. Pigs have a nose second to none. They don't like to load up in the truck though. You gotta hunt close to home if you want to use a hog to blood trail....OR listen to him SQUEEL!

 


After he was grown I called him a friend. He taught me more about hogs than I could have ever known any other way. BoBo always got scraps after cleaning game.

 

I found a few friends for BoBo. He turned into a sow when I brought home Dozer(sleeping on BoBo)

I may have just turned this thread south with the pigs but I have to post two more.

I killed a sow one day while slipping through some tall grass along a swamp. Unfortunately I didn't see these under her. There were only two. I felt obligated to raise them. Here's Dozer. I kept him and gave the other away.

 

He grew into a fine looking young man and was a great friend to BoBo. They shared food. That is very unlike hogs.

I remember BoBo, very smart to have a hog around to learn from. Interesting that you can use him for blood trailing. Great thread, Curtis its making me smile.

Hey Curtis that is pretty neat. We killed a pair of sows and of course there were 6-7 tiny pigs left to deal with. I actually wanted to catch them all but my hunting partners thought otherwise.

Jason, Great pic! I always could pick out Bobo among his siblings because of that pink nose. He had a brother that looked just like him without the pink nose.

Andy, I missed you this year. I had to crawl around in the grass with the pigs this year alone. Sounds like you have the next year working in your favor.

This year with Curtis was my first time ever hunting Hogs, I'm hooked.

    I learned alot from the master, I will be back next year!

   I will try and not bring any SNOW with me this time.

Here is a couple pictures of the javelina I shot and the hog that my dad shot. This was my first out of state hunt and I had a blast. I will definitely do it again someday, hopefully soon. Curtis is a great host and all around great guy.
