Hello All, I figured I would post these pictures of this old Utopian I just purchased. I found very little info on it as I researched before.

Man that brings back memories!!!

When we were kids, one of the best days of the year was when the Herter's catalog arrived in the mail.  It was like finding the motherlode!!!

Then the wish list was written down.......and of course, then we had to figure out what jobs we were going to have to do just to pay for all that stuff!!!!!

The bows were usually way out of our league.....we had priority stuff to obtain...arrows and such.  Of course, there was certainly nothing wrong with our beloved Bear Kodiaks purchased used from the hardware store.......but we definitely drooled over everything in that catalog.  We were like kids in a candy store.

Thanks for posting.......great looking bow and it certainly brings back those memories.

Hello again, I am now wanting to shoot this bow, but cannot figure out what to rest the arrow on. If you zoom in on my third picture you will see the arrow rest. Is something missing?

It looks like a standard wire rest. The wire may have fallen off though.

I have seen Joe St.Charles has some of the older style rests on the big auction site that may suit that bow...Just do a search there for  recurve arrow rests,side plates or old Hoyt rests and see what comes up...Joe has had all different kinds of styles for those vintage target bows...If Joe doesn't have any listings there are others who may have them...I think if you just type in Hoyt flex rest you may see something of your liking that will work good on that bow ...

Your bow appears to be drilled and tapped for sights and elevated rests. Check out the NAP rests. They offer some nice adjustable rests that won't break the bank.

You may also consider using a Flipper II rest which sticks on, then a cushion plunger or Berger button. You have some options here....Great looking bow, I love those long risers.

Wow nice.   I had the 62inch takedown. Good shooting bow. Check your strings often  because if they break the limbs go flying. In the sky and in the dirt.  Jim pleon  of 21st century  wone. Many contests shooting one.

Here are some close ups of the rest. And yes it appears the wire has been lost. The metal plate is attached to the plunger, not flush with the riser. Is it possible for me to just fashion my own wire rest to mount in the hole?

yes, fleabay....see the post above...keefer advised you correctly.

The old Flipper rest, the one that was tapped for the plunger. The plungers with the Teflon tip would be hard to find these days.  Now I want one of my FITA bows back.

If you remove the metal rest you could put a feather rest on it....
