Killing Foam at March Madness Take 2
« on: March 21, 2010, 08:15:00 PM »
It was just Tricia and I shooting on the 3D course today.  We both had a blast.  It was a warm / drizzly day.  Our Border Collie  Blue had her usual blast going on point and trying to chase those fast sticks.

I snuck up on the moose I whacked at 75 yards yesterday and fired one in the kill at 45 yards.

The next three shots shows Tricia's reign of terror that continued from yesterday's bear.  She was shooting low and back on everything close and small today.  Needless to say, I put her bow away and hid it when we got off the range!

This shot shows the results of Tricia shooting a small deer target uphill at 38 yards. She hammered a ten on this target yesterday and again today. The second arrow is one of hers I shot high and right with.  Put a long target in her sights and she nailed them all.  She struggled up close today.

Take a close look at this photo and you can see some bright orange in the tree behind the target.  Tricia almost donated another arrow today.  She skipped it off the target and an innocent bystander was struck.  Fortunately the Fir was understanding about it all.

Tricia and I had a really good time shooting and enjoying each others company today.  There was some serious smack talking going back and forth.  I beat her by only 6 points. That says a lot for her improving shooting in general and my lack of form today.  Normally I blow her out.  She is definitely improving and I definitely needed to work on my focus today.

Not a bad way way to spend some time...good for you guys!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki
