Quality bow string
« on: March 22, 2010, 11:55:00 AM »
I have a Martin Jaguar Takedown Recurve. The stock string is unraveling at one of the loops.  The stock string is 55" on a 60" bow which seems weird. I can only assume it's a cheap string and stretches more than regular strings. I hear Fast Flight strings are good. Thanks for your input.

How long do you think the string should be? A standard calculation I use for recurve strings is AMO bow length minus 4 inches. That means your string length should be 56". Of course this changes if your brace height is extreme one way or the other. I can make you a B50 string as a replacement if you would like. Just send me a PM with your mailing address and color choices. Sorry, I don't have any FF string material.
