Birds and Field Tips

I spent my entire Saturday flinging arrows at birds in our pasture. Especially those pesky field larks that hide along the fence line. Didn't have much success though, just a whole lot of fun. Just wondering if ya'll had any bird and field tip stories to share.

Blunts might be better. They'd ensure that you lost fewer arrows, and they'd kill a bird near-instantly. Are those birds legal game?

Well, just remember unless your 'field larks' are starlings, English sparrows, or cowbirds they are federally protected.  I'm not pickin' on ya, just an fyi.

As far as what works.  Field tips are cool, but I prefer blunts or judos.  Actually, now I prefer my new favorites the RFA Talon.  They have worked well on everything so far.

They're all pretty safe with my accuracy. If I should be so lucky to hit one, I would have to clean it and eat it, so I always aim low.
