1st Turkey Hunt!!

Well I got permanently laid off on friday. Managed to beg enough to go on a Turkey Hunt with some friends from around here down to Kansas in two weeks.

I've never cared to hunt Turkeys in the past but this will allow me to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. Riding shotgun with Terry (Bowshot). Hunt for a few days then on to Conroe, Texas to check out the new facility,(job), sights, housing, etc. Then home to tie up some loose ends. Hope I can contribute to Terry's tale when we get back. Stay tuned!!!
Looking forward to it. Been a long time since I've been on a road trip!

It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

Sorry to hear that....there is good news around the corner i hear though....this is going to throw everyone for a loop but a good loop.
Enjoy the time off....when I was working in the field as an electrician I had money and no time
The only time I got off was layoff time....Then you have time and no money (or atleast I was afraid to spend any.
Always got work right away though.

I get to work tonight and find out I can't go,
aarrgghh, no time available and can't even go without getting paid unless I want that as a long term option. Already working on plan B, Jack is going though and I hope Gun can catch a ride with him.
I need to build a bridge and "get over it"...not going to be easy.

Gun- Conroe is fine and there's Sam Houston National Forest right there. Just get used to the humidity and you'll be fine. My in-laws are in Montgomery just next door and we love it down there. I am in Dallas. You'll love Texas.
WELCOME.
