Sky bows?
«

Last weekend I was able to shoot a few arrows with an old longbow. The owner thought it might be over 20 years old. It was a Sky bow designed by Earl Hoyt jr 66” : longbow Rogue
It looked very much like a hybrid longbow design and shot like a dream, very fast! I was impressed! Anybody know these bows?

jim belcher bought sky archery, they are a sponsor on here.they still make the the rouge and the recurve takedown.go to the green box up above that says sponser list and scroll down till you see sky bows.
the rouge was a hybird due to the reflex in the limbs ,that was my first custom bow a sky rouge 45#@28 63",shot very good ,had the smoothness and the speed .excellent bows.

Bows that old are about at their limit. I think it best if you have your friend ship it my way for proper handling and retirment. Wouldn't want to take any chance, I mean, better safe than sorry you know.

I have a Sky Rogue Hybrid longbow signed by Earl Hoyt. 63" and 50# at 28". It is a great bow and is very quick. Shot my first deer with a trad bow with it and my boy still uses it today. Very impressive bow. Coach

I have one of Earl's last Sky Rogue longbows and it is a fantastic shooting bow. It is one of the bows I will not let go of.
