Best heavy recurve stringer???
«

I am having difficulty finding a stringer that is both durable and usable on heavy weight recurves (75lbs) The problem is that with any of the ones that the one end slides part way down the limb do not give you (me) enough leverage that I can flex the limbs enough to get the string loop in the nocks. On the ones that have a small pocket on each end I can get enough leverage but the pockets on all that I have tried rip out. Ouch!!! Any suggestions?
Thank,
Dan'l

I like the ones BW sends with their bows. The trick to the pockets is putting tissue in the end and spreading your feet wide enough to get the right angle.

The Webster will be my next one. Those look bullet proof. I have one stringer now with a ripped out pocket and I only shoot low to mid 50's bows. I tried a Selway and didn't care for it at all. The first time I tried it was in the winter, and it kept sliding on me. Even when it didn't I didn't like the odd leverage I had. Seemed to make the bow a lot harder to string.

As a dealer for AMG Webster, no bow leaves my shop without one. Best stringer in my opinion.
