As a mail carrier and postal employee, I can sympathize with you about the damage.  I do take serious offense with Ray Hammonds statements.  There are thousands of hard working men and women in the Postal Service who do their job with great care and professionalism.  That would be like me stating that all knife makers were idiots because a custom knife I ordered didn't come as I ordered it.  I am sure Monty Browning appreciates your opinion of his former co-workers.  You sir are one sponsor I will never buy anything from.

To continue the thought, I'm surprised that bows are not ALWAYS shipped bubble-wrapped in a stout tubular container, either a heavy one used for carpet shipping or better yet pvc pipe. With the conveyors and other machinery used by all shippers it would seem somewhat obvious that a relatively flimsy, long carcboard box has high potential for not turning out nice.

To add a thought here, I have received and shipped a fair number of bows and I use the U.S.Postal Service exclusively and to date hassle free and always on time. The reason I use them are the single times I shipped bows with U.P.S. and Fed Ex and let it suffice to say once was enough in both cases.

My experiences with the USPS have always been good.  UPS, not so much!  Sorry about the bow, but not surprised that Jim is taking care of you. My impression when I met him was he is a good man.

I've never had a problem with USPS service or delivery. Mostly I ship shafts by Priority mail, but the bows I've shipped have made it fine in PVC downspout gutter pipe.

Simple Question.... I Think....Was The Package Insured?? That will take some of the Sting out of the Crack, I Hope, for BOTH Parties Involved.
I have used the "TriAngle Boxes Taped-Together", Luckily, without Harm. I have RECEIVED Bows Shipped in "TriAngle Taped-Together Boxes", I guess I am Lucky that way too, No Problems.
NOT Saying the Boxes werent Delivered looking like they came through a War Zone, BUT the Contents were Safe & Sound. I have Several PVC Tubes I have Received Over The Years, and Hung on to Them. ANY Bow I Ship will be In A PVC Tube, Just to be Safe!!
Its a Major Bummer your Bow Arrived With that Gnarly Break, but I am Sure the Bowyer will make it right, and I bet it Returns to You in a Pvc Tube Next Time!!
